Zhandos Adetbeov
He got involved with us when there was a group of Filipino professionals who came here for ten days visit and tourist. For a month and more he was with us even after the team flew back to the countries where they are working. He even became our resource speaker in Life Talks. However, after his talk, and during our social eat out, someone told him that we are doing such things to convert people and as a consequence, he cut his connection with us. Though it happened and he still aloof of hanging out with us, I personally still have communication with him thru social media and we have our plans of meeting ups over cups of tea and talking about serious matters like our beliefs which he is open anyway. I ask your prayer for him as we meet him again wisdom and faith will be upon us as we share the Good News to him, for he said that he is just a nominal Muslim but he still considers that Islam is the true religion. May the Lord open his heart to really know and accept Christ as Lord, Saviour and God of his life.
Erdaulet Taurat
A physical trainer who happened to be part of our circle of friends. For the time he spent with the group of Filipinos, he learned and heard about our faith and somehow got an idea why we are here. He has other priorities in life and yet he is always there whenever you want to go for a walk in the park or somewhere . We pray that our constant meeting and conversation with him will soften his heart to listen and believe what we believe in and follow the One that is true and living.
Arthur Jabukov
This young man is an independent person and I met him in a cafe, just downstairs of the English center where I was working. For the meetings we had, I came to know that he was a church musician but stumbled and lost his way. Since, we have contact with him until now, we were able to connect him to our Life Talks and encourage to perform. Please pray for him that as we constantly reaching him out, the Lord will touch him and rededicate his life to Jesus and serve Him once again.
Tulegen
Tulegen is a friend of Arthur, and I met him the second time I visited Arthur with the other friends in the cafe. He was playing computer games that time and just listening to us, and seems like not interested but I found out that his limited English stopped him to jump in so he seemed like showing no interest. However, when we tried to talk to him in Russian he was delighted and now we are in good communication though months of not seeing each other again. Yet, he is open whenever I offer prayer for him. Pray that we will have time to meet again and by that time I am able to communicate the goodness of God to his life that will lead to his salvation.
Issa
He was invited twice to our Sunday services and twice attended our Life Talks too. He has knowledge of Jesus because it happened that his employer is a Christian and that employer is a friend of one of our translator who attends to us also. So we had connection and became good friends. He is a goal oriented young man and because of that he seldom to our messages and invitation now. Yet he replies sometimes. We pray that he will really have the desire to know Christ more as his name bears Jesus’ name too.
Adilet Kalimov
I met Adilet back 2016 in our English club, and he is one of my student who became so close to me that even though he finished his bachelor and masters degree we are still in touch and usually meet in our available time to catch up. We have used Soularium to him and became part of English plus community. As of now he is in his doctorate degree at the same time teaching in universities as Physics professor. He is a physicist also and working in some project concerning physics. Please pray that as we have our continuous friendship as student-teacher, I will plainly convey to him the love of God and by that time he will receive Him as his personal Lord and Saviour.
Pakizat Sailaubekova
Pakizat is currently an ecologist and one of the active leaders in Almaty advocating recycling plastics in the city and even in the whole country. She has been a friend since we met her together with Adilet back the year of 2016. Though she was dedicated to her studies and her work now we managed to engaged her with some of events like Life Talks. We are looking forward that she will be totally connected to one us and herd the testimony of Christ and be saved.
Rauan Baxtybai
This young man is soon to be married from now as he said to me last time we met. And it is great time spending with him because he is makes time to catch up even though his schedule is so tight because of work and studies. We are neighbors though their house is not really near to us but we are in the same community. I met him through a neighbor also, Adam Usenbaev. He attended already our Life Talks many times and have our irregular meeting ups. Please pray that we will have regular meeting where we can talk more about the Grace of God thru the Lord Jesus and will lead to his salvation. Pray for our protection also because his father is a retired police.
Akadil
Akadil is a Paralympic young guy who was invited to our church service. Since then we have our constant contact with him and though he was a bit tough before being an atheist, right now he is thankful when I say that we are praying for him and even ask him of his prayer concerns and he is open to share his concerns now. Please pray that the LORD will soften his heart that he will be ready to accept the truth of Christ power in his life.
