Jandos Adetbeov
This is the typical Kazakh guy that you will usually meet here in Almaty, full of dreams, hungry for new things and always busy. I first met him in the master class for finance that we held last November 9, 2019 and even our first meeting he showed enthusiasm about his life’s business. He is working as someone in his brother’s business and at the same time working out his own business in his early twenties.
So, I invited him to meet up and help me translating.
November 16, 2019
This second meeting we had this good conversation about his life and goals in life. He is a man of inspiration. After our mini project he offered me to bring me home by car. What a kind one.
He became active meeting us since he is really friendly. Participating to our activities and sharing his thoughts during our small groups.
He became our first speaker also before Christmas and everyone loved his wisdom about acquiring new languages. He is a linguistic guy who knows Japanese, Hindi, Russian, English, and Kazakh and maybe Malay also because he studied in Malaysia also for he is also a trained speaker of Toast Masters.
We usually go out after Life Talks to encourage locals to practice their English and our language acquisition also. Zhandos, became close to us and started wondering why we are doing such event for free. With his so much interrogation to Xris, the guy on his right, who is has real contact to him. He sense that there is something in what we are doing. So, we believe that he will not report us or what, Xris opened who we are and the purpose why we are doing such events.
He was so honest that he wants to stay Muslim though he is not the practicing one. He said that he was also grateful to what we are doing, knowing in his heart that what we are doing is not really bad and without force but generally out of love from God.
That confrontation made him aloof but since we already establish good relationship with him we continue to meet him and talk about life. Over this meal he opened that he is not ready to be serious in nay religious obligation that even in Islam he considers himself as non-practicing one but a Muslim since his whole family is Muslim. Over this meal we talked about life goals most of the time because in terms of faith he diverted it.
I regularly meet Indian friends for one-to-one (salvation sharing and discipleship) but during this time I thought of inviting some locals including Zhandos and thank God he came. Using the soularium cards (if you are familiar about this). He became much more open about his life dreams and view of God.
We are still I contact with him. Inviting him to occasional meeting outside and talk about life since he is always with excuse now of not joining us in our Life Talks.
Pray for him that he will find the true meaning of life’s success in Christ our Lord and that he will be open again in joining our events and be opened to hear the love of God for him and become His faithful Christian leader in Kazakhstan, encouraging the self-motivated Kazakhs to find their true success in Christ alone who is the greatest prize of life.
