Stop Doubting Yourself! He Sees Differently.

Judges 6:11-16

Often times we see our failures, our weakness, and defeat but the GOD we serve see differently.

When the Lord appeared to Gideon from his hiding place, He called him ‘mighty man of valor!’ Gideon saw himself as the weakest link, his clan as vincible, and even questioned the wonders of GOD which he has done to his fathers. Yet the Lord is calling him the mighty man of valor? In addition, the Lord commanded him to lead the people of Israel for a battle against their enemies who oppressed them.

Just like Gideon we always see our circumstances, our weaknesses, and doubts but the LORD is calling us to see the inner man within us who is ready to take his place and fight the battle that is before him. The promise has already been given to us and all we need to do is to take our armor and courageously go to the field and destroy the works of the enemies.

Let us awaken the inner man within us for He sealed His summoning with a vow, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” This might be an ongoing battle but the LORD will always assure triumph over these challenges of life and it is a certain victory already since HE is with us.

“12 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor! 14 Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you? 16 Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”
