How He has had Compassion on You

There is one Korean series I had watched before entitled Korean Odessey. The movie portrays a couple who are on a journey of killing evil spirits that control human beings. While I was watching this series, I came to realize that it might be true that humans without their knowledge are enslaved with different kinds of demons and that they need deliverance. 

The verses show the same thing when Christ came to the country of Gadarenes, the legion of bad spirits living in one person saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshipped Him. Seeing how this Legion tormenting the man, He delivered him completely. I find out true to our life, Jesus is so willing to deliver us from the evil spirits who are tormenting us. But many people do not recognize His presence and never come to Him and receive freedom. No one wants to be a slave by an evil spirit but no one also recognizes the importance of deliverance. But why this generation cannot come to Jesus and find deliverance and salvation in Him? The answer is that the spirit of blindness covers their eyes to see it. 

This made me realized the very need I needed so much. My growth is so gradual. I am still inclined most of the time on my own desire and even though I have the conviction not to do so, I still choose to do what is evil. Is it really the work of the evil spirit in me or is it that root of evil thoughts and desire is not yet completely uprooted? 

No, I have been delivered, rescued, and freed. The sin has been overcome and uprooted by the power of the cross and the resurrection of Christ and by His Spirit living in me, I have the power to overcome this evil thought which hunting me. Yes, it is the voice of the world around, the desire of the eye that is tempting me. But, I know that the power and authority that has been given to me is mightier than the force of darkness luring around us. 

When the possessed man was delivered, he asked Jesus to go with them, but Jesus did not permit him but instead instructed him to go back to his family and friends and tell the wonderful thing that He has done. When he did what Jesus told him to do, he made many marvels and believe in Jesus because they saw living evidence of God’s power of deliverance and salvation. This made me ask myself after the LORD healed me and saved me from the power of sin and darkness did I really heard him what shall I do next? The testimony He made of me must be told around the world. It must be heard by many that they may know that only Jesus can save sinners and from the power of darkness.

If you are struggling with any evil deception or dilemma, remember to run to Him. Fall to your knees and worship Him, for He is more than willing to help you overcome the torture of the devil. When it happens your life will be a great man or woman of God even in your simplest way by just showing to the world around you how He loved you with an everlasting love and saved you from all the bondage of the evil one.
